New Executive Member for Banbury Chamber

Nick Poole, Director of Fort Locks Self Storage Banbury

Nick Poole – Director

Nick Poole, a Director of Fort Locks Self Storage has been elected as an Executive Board member of the Banbury Chamber of Commerce.

Nick and Annie moved to Banbury 18 years ago.   The business was established in 2004, with Annie  at the helm in the early years. It is very much a local Banbury business, providing 24/7 drive up self-storage for Banbury householders and businesses, and buys from local suppliers where possible. The business is growing steadily and now employs 3 people.

Like many small business owners, Nick has to wear quite a few hats. He is the driving force behind most of the company’s marketing initiatives. Fort Locks advertises on Banbury Sound and in the Banbury Guardian, flies Bertie the Blimp (on fair-weather days) and promotes an increasingly sophisticated website. At other times Nick can be found driving a fork lift truck, or undertaking any number of maintenance jobs to keep the site looking spick and span. Or, in his spare time, if he hasn’t got any age-related injuries (currently a dodgy knee), on a tennis court!

Nick says: “Fort Locks Self Storage prides itself on the highest level of professional customer service, but the essence of our culture is that we’re a small, friendly, family firm. I am delighted to be elected to the Banbury Chamber of Commerce board and hope very much to make a contribution for the benefit and prosperity of all local business”.
