A little BID of an update

Banbury nursery rhyme

Some of you may know that Nick Poole, Director at Fort Locks Self Storage, is also Chair of the Banbury Chamber of Commerce. The Chamber has been revitalised under his leadership and through the work of Yasmin Kaduji, our Co-ordinator. It’s one way which Fort Locks tries to put something back into the town. In particular, Nick has been working hard with the BID – a Business Improvement District – (for more information go to ), to encourage local businesses to VOTE YES when we get to the ballot in October. The BID  is a fantastic opportunity to improve the Town for visitors and businesses, bringing over £1m investment into the town centre BID-Banbury-Boundary-mapover the next 5 years…  The BID will be launching a fully documented Business Plan full of proposals for Banbury at the Town Hall on September 6th  – save the date  – after which, about 530 businesses in the town centre will receive their ballot papers (mid-October), allowing them 4 weeks to register their postal vote.

But all businesses in and around Banbury can support the BID and while Fort Locks Self Storage itself is located outside the BID area, we will be making a voluntary contribution to show our commitment to the BID. We urge you to do the same! If you are a business anywhere in the Banbury area, you have an interest in a successful, thriving town, so come along on 6th September to learn all about this amazing opportunity and how you can support it!
