NO 20% INCREASE AT FORT LOCKS SELF STORAGE

Taxes and budgets aren’t usually good news – for the self-storage industry, the news is that self-storage will be VAT standard rated from 1st October 2012.  But this clears up a great big anomaly in the tax system which allowed some self-storage companies not to charge VAT. It also means that quite a number of self-storage providers will probably be putting their prices up from 1st  October, or may already have done so – Ouch! That’s a whopping extra 20% price increase.

The good news though is that, at Fort Locks Self-Storage,  we’re holding our prices! Other self-storage companies in Banbury, North Oxfordshire and elsewhere  may increase their prices and guess what – their customers will be the ones feeling the pinch!

So on this occasion, if you’re a customer at Fort Locks Self Storage, you can breathe easy – our prices won’t be going up as a result of the Chancellor’s latest tax change….and if you’re thinking of storing any time in the near future, you can be sure of a fair price at Fort Locks
